As you may have noticed, recently (today and yesterday) the forum has had refurbishment, including the promotion of Fernando to Administrator, the adding of the Medieval RP and World War 2 RP sections, and finally a more helpful layout (or so I hope).
Also, you may have noticed, both the forum logo and the advertisements are gone!
Yes, I was shocked too!
I decided it was time either to make a new, better logo (that didn't conflict with the forum skin) or whether we simply don't need a logo. I decided on the latter.
As for the advertisements, I found out why they were there - the forum was too inactive!
So please, I URGE you, post more! Make this forum live up to what it should be!
We all know MakerMod is supposedly dieing. But it has lasted this long, and this forum was created, not only for a gathering place for all hardcore RPers on MakerMod, but also to celebrate MakerMod's continued existance.
To those pessimists who claim it dies more every day (Smasher), and to those who agree that the community, as a whole, is depressingly unorganized, uneducated and generally rather idiotic (myself), at least we can do our best by organizing RPs as best we can, and by supporting the revived clan MLU, which, until it's untimely resignation, fought to control the true idiots and crashers and attempted to bring about a more organized community where those who had once had no knowledge of MakerMod and had spoken in "12-year old language", were taught to speak and build not only well, but excellently, especially due to the inspiring works of the more respected members of MLU, such as Shanghai or the founder, Fernando.
MLU, as I'm sure everyone knows, was fairly recently disbanded by the leader Liberi.
Although by that time I cannot fault him for his actions, many will agree when I say that it was his lack of judgement that caused players to lose faith in the clan.
It was unfortunately well-publicised about a select few members who thought that, by being in the clan and staying to MLU servers or servers owned by other members, they were untouchable. This caused many players to create and join rival clans, or even just become a solo enemy, spreading the word of how MLU was disorganized itself, and unfit for the job of living up to it's name and liberating MakerMod.
This is where the leader's failure to act came in, for instead of punishing the members by kicking them out of the clan, he merely sook to attempt to rectify their ways, which failed.
Indeed, it seems their bad influence had a negative affect on him, for Muffin, also known as Penguin Unit or TK-421, was removed from the clan due to his recent promotion in the clan angering his enemies in the clan. Their lies affected the judgement of Liberi, but that does not change the fact that it was him who ultimately brought about the clan's break-up through these actions.
HOWEVER!
MLU is making a comeback. Fernando is the leader, and I am the co-leader due to my open opposition to the actions which brought about the clan's demise, and my refusal to just abandon the clan to die, marred as it was.
And now I urge you to give the clan your full support. Yes, we may once have been a gathering of pompous grammar nazis, always trying to interfere with buildings skills, attempting to force players to use the Mmark and mmove way of building, which is uncomfortable for us to use sometimes, let alone less experience builders.
But even if it looks as if nothing has changed within the clan, it has because this time around we really are trying hard. We will bring MakerMod to the point where it can die without the memories of such prats as SithLord223 or Fat, or even, some of you may remember, of Snyper.
And hey, if anyone is reading this who KNOWS they have crashed servers before, or interfered with other's building, or has refused to teach newer players the neccessary skills, I hope you change your attitude too, because this has gone on too long. Why do you think there has been an increase in the amount of idiots, and such an increase in the amount of crashers that Sgt. Jawa was forced to post a thread to keep track of them all on the official MakerMod Forums? It is because of YOUR actions. It is everyone's fault, new or older, because we did not help these crashers when they asked.
It has not quite got to the point where whenever anyone who plays Jedi Academy sees the word 'noob' and instantly think of MakerMod. But it is going that way, and it is going to stop now. And anyone who gets in my way, Fernando's way, or the way of anyone in MLU who wishes to put this right will be dealt with.
Thank you for letting me waste your time
